A special treat, today, of recent Southwest meals.
First up, "Ebenezer" Trout (in honor of Ebenezer Bryce, Mormon pioneer), served up at the Bryce Canyon National Park Lodge restaurant. Boneless, flaky, and tasty.
Next, a BLT served up at the True Grit Cafe, in Ridgway, Colorado. Excellent combination, although a bit too much mayonaisse for my taste. We ate dinner here on 9/11/11, and were serenaded by a singer (upstairs) who had a liking for CSN&Y.
And here we have a Rocky Mountain Buffalo Burger, at Boss Hoggs, in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Lean, as to be expected, and filling (due, in part, to the 1/2 # size).
Below is a homemade breakfast, prepared at a secret location, of chorizo & eggs, fried potatoes, fried apples, and flour tortillas.
Another homemade meal, this time with freshly caught rainbow trout, pan grilled with a lemon-garlic butter spread.
And finally, a dinner from the High Country Saloon, in Chama, New Mexico. The "# 2 Combination" includes a chile relleno, enchilada, and taco, all smothered in green chile sauce, along with pinto beans and the northern New Mexico version of posole. Excellent!
